As the Washington state legislature battles out the budget crisis, Governor Gregoire tells the public that elected officials’ choices are either to make cuts in education and human services or increase sales tax. Not true! New York state legislators raised the tax bracket for the highest-income residents and reduced the rate for millions of working-class taxpayers. How did they do it?

Be part of Sisters Organize for Survival’s outreach and education campaign on why regressive tax measures are not the solution to fight for! Help spread the word that the community must demand that legislators not make any cuts in services and that taxing the wealth is the answer.
