Reclaiming Christianity from the Right

Faithful America writes:

We’ve all seen how right-wing extremists have given Christianity a bad name by twisting Jesus’ message of love and reconciliation into a hateful political agenda.

But the truth is that they don’t represent the overwhelming majority of Christians. And there are literally millions of us who are ready to take on the Religious Right and reclaim our faith. But often we just don’t know where to start.

That’s why Faithful America is thinking about launching Reclaim the Gospel, a new online Christian community. While open to anyone who wants to join, we’d focus on organizing Christians of all traditions and denominations to demonstrate that right-wing extremists don’t speak for Jesus Christ.

Right now, we’re looking for your feedback. Can you click on one of the links below to let us know what you think of this idea?

  • Fantastic — count me in!
  • That’s a great idea, but you should pick a different name.
  • No, we shouldn’t do that.

Thanks so much.
