The American Fall: whither the Wall Street protest movement?

The protests on Wall Street and their coverage are long overdue. Combined with the upcoming Oct 6 protests in D.C. we may be on the verge of an American Fall akin to the Arab Spring.

But where’s the movement heading? What leaders, if any, will guide the anger and energy into constructive change? Or will chaos reign? Will right wing populism dominate?

Will the American Fall lead to the fall of America? Or will true reform begin?

More importantly, will enough people join the protest movement to sustain it? Most adults still have jobs and most Democrats still support Pres. Obama, whose centrism has allowed the GOP to recover and flourish. The movement may just fizzle out, be crushed, or continue as a low simmer.
