The 2008 Democratic Caucuses at Newport High School, Bellevue (WA)

Turnout was huge at Newport High School in Bellevue for the 2008 Democratic caucuses.

Eleven precincts held caucuses at Newport High School. A total of 49 delegates advanced to the Legislative District Caucuses. 36 delegates went for Obama. 13 went for Clinton.

In my precinct (LD 41-0815), 37 people showed up. In the first round of voting, 11 people supported Clinton, 24 people supported Obama, and one person supported Edwards. The remaining person showed up too late for the first round of voting.

In the second, final round of voting. 24 supported Obama, while 14 supported Clinton. Our precinct was allotted five delegates; three delegates went to Obama, while two delegates went to Clinton.


Turnout was huge.
